Does anyone know a good inspirational (christian) book?

Hold it!!! Hooooold it!!! Stay away from Joel Olsteen. He is. . . a heretic. Strong language I know. . . but true. The Christian life is not about having your best life now!!! "do not store up treasures on earth."





Anyway, to answer your question (I hope you include allgories in your "fiction" category):





C. S. Lewis is good. "Screwtape Letters" "Out of the Silent Planet" (and its sequels)



Try and get a unabridged (but in modern english) copy of "The Pilgrims Progress."



What else. . . "Kingdom's Dawn", by Chuck Black. . .

Two really good inspirational, Christian fiction novels are Christy and Julie, both by Catherine Marshall (who also wrote A Man Called Peter, which was a non-fiction book - very inspirational - that read like a novel).



C.S. Lewis wrote several fictional books that were inspirational. Two that I would mention are The Great Divorce and The Screwtape Letters. They are both unique and very interesting. (In a way, I'd add the series, The Chronicles of Narnia to this.)



This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti is a great read. His novel called Tilly is very inspirational, in my opinion. You may also enjoy Piercing the Darkness.



The Last Sin Eater by Francine Rivers is very unusual but very inspirational. Last year Michael Landon, Jr. made this book into a film, which was also excellent.

Frank Peretti is a really wonderful author. Except Monster - don't waste your time.
