Christians, why is the modern day Christian experience so different from that in the book of Acts?

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (John 14:12).



Is this happening in your local church? In the entire 18 years I spent as a fundamentalist Christian, none of the experiences even came close to MATCHING the works attributed to Jesus and the early church, let alone being "greater works."Christians, why is the modern day Christian experience so different from that in the book of Acts?
It's because religion in general has Ben bastardized and hollywoodized to the point that it's show biz now. God and religion are in your soul, mind and spirit... Time for a reality check for everyone!
We are being conformed to teh world to a degree.

I too have seen remarkable healings, salvations, deliverances, the holy ghjost and power of God come in unique ways. Even the prayers and praise making a witness so easy,and powerful as many were restored to faith in Jesus Christ.

Like no shyness, hesitation, holy ghost boldness, prophetic , knwoeledge and utterances.

Many times the Lord taught us the preay off unruly spirits, lying and deceitfull spirists, grow in holiness and casting all our cares upon him.



Distractions with kids and other pressures often made us try and learn more as well. Praise being joyfull and not just a chore.Christians, why is the modern day Christian experience so different from that in the book of Acts?
I think it is because we are trying to make it look like the early church instead of just trying to live for Jesus. It's all become about church and church structure. The Bible speaks plainly against a church structure, it is supposed to be inside of us, his people.
because protestants and catholics and orthodox christians are not true christians jesus took his church off the earth because of them..
