Is the Koran an anti-Christian book?

Is the Koran an anti-Christian book?Is the Koran an anti-Christian book?
Short answer, yes it is. Long answer is also yes, it is. The best way to see for yourself is to read it. The best English translations are by Pickthall or Dawood, both acknowledged by Islamic scholars to be the best English versions. Remember this, the Koran is NOT in chronological or contextual order, it is assembled from longest Sura to shortest. There are 2 different perspectives in the Koran, those of Mecca (earlier) and the Medina (later) Suras. The Mecca Suras are much more kind and peaceful than the militaristic Medina Suras. This is important to keep in mind as you read because they differentiate between two different times in the development of Islam. And finally, do read the Koran without outside interference, in other words, read it for yourself and decide for yourself how violent or anti-Jew/Christian it is.
no quran is not an anti christian book , it differs in that it doesnot take jesus as a god and saviour but a great prophet sent to humanity by god , other than that u will find that there r similarities found in the three books sent by God, the bible, quran and tourah because they came from same source. also quran says that not all bible r words of god and that someof it was changed

freindshaped seems that he read another book he was talking about because in quran it was said so many times that god is most forgiving, never allows lies ...dont know where he was reading ???u need to read before saying things u dont knowIs the Koran an anti-Christian book?
No it isn't.

Surely, those who believe,

those who are Jewish,

the Christians,

and the converts;

anyone who

(1) believes in God,

(2) believes in the Last Day, and

(3) leads a righteous life,

will receive their recompense from

their Lord; they have nothing to fear,

nor will they grieve. Quran [2:62, 5:69]

Peace.
The one I read sure was.... and I was not even a Christian when I read it... I did not come to God for another 30yrs... and I could clearly see, even then, that the sole purpose of islam is to dominate the world... and that it clearly says that ALL who do not submit to the law of islam are to be killed.... no True Christian will ever submit to islam. Is the Koran an anti-Christian book?
any religious book is an anti christian book including the old testament and the new testament it all depends on the interpretation

all religions preach tolerance they also preach blood and thunder retribution you have to use common sense and follow your heart but any god of any religion would not want to see his creations abused.

Muslims do believe in Christ they just believe he was a prophet not the son of God
Not anti-christian (but it is unfair and inhibitive to active christians) but very definitely anti-Christ (in terms of making his salvation message to no effect in many lives.)

i.e in most moslem countries you can be a christian, but you might get in trouble if you try to convert muslims. There is some persecution of christians in some muslim areas.

Anti-Christ in the sense that it in effect denies Jesus is who He claimed He is. Jesus says He is our Saviour, and paid an infinitely expensive price to provide salvation for those who believe. So in saying Jesus was substituted on the cross, that he was just a prophet, that the New Testament is unreliable, the desire of Jesus to save people from judgment by his saving work on the cross is counteracted by a plausible set of ideas which is touted as an updated version of God's message.

Anti-Christ also in the 'apostasy law' which means that it can perilous in this life for a muslim to save his soul by believing Christ's message. Some areas apply the law strictly (eg Saudi), others are more relaxed at the legal level, but extremist muslims are a threat to converts.
When you take a close look at the words in the Koran it ends up looking like a different God !!!

He doesn't forgive !!!

He provides no assurance of salvation !!!

He allows lying !!!

He allows deceit !!!

He allows breaking contracts !!!

He hates Christians and Jews !!!

The radicals of Islam go by the book !!!
Is the Qur'an credible?

http://christianity.com/ministryaudio/pl鈥?/a>
Yes.............

Anyone who is not in Islam is considered an infidel according to it. They also do not trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior..........therefore making them a cult.

And a downright evil one, too.
No it is not. Christianity was based off the Jewish/Hebrew religion. Basically, Christians stole most of their beliefs from the Koran.
All religions hate all other religions.

Due to the fact that their god must be better than the others.

Sort of like each religion feels they are the best religion.

x
Just to the extent that the Qur'an does not recognize the divinity of Jesus, but regards him as a wise and blessed prophet of God.
yes, because Koran do not believe in Jesus word..they believe in their prophet Mohammad.
Yes, if they advocate killing "infidels" and non-believers.
To the degree the Bible is an anti-Jewish book...
Not really thought part of it says that it is ok to kill Christians in the name of Islam.
Is the bible anti-Buddhist?
Yes.
No.
no.
maybe...
