I have read "the five people you meet in heaven" which I greatly enjoyed..while i found "the screwtape letters" boring and did not finish the book...any opinions? if youd like leave me the title and a brief summary of the book...10 points to the book i find most interesting!!Whats a good christian book?
Judging by what you said you liked and did not like...

The Shack by William Young

A man blames God when his daughter goes missing. Then he gets a letter in the mail from God, asking him to meet at the house where his daughter's torn dress was found. The man spends the weekend with God, dealing with his anger and his questions.

Angel of Mercy by Lurlene McDaniel

Eighteen year old Heather travels on one of the Mercy Ships to Uganda, Africa as a missionary who wants to change lives. She finds her own life being changed.

The Cross And The Switchblade by David Wilkerson

Based on a true story, a country preacher goes to the city of New York to help change the lives of kids who are in a gang. He faces death-threatening situations and relies on his faith and to bring him through. The book tells the story of the beginning of a ministry that is thriving today.

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom

A true story about a holocaust survivor who helped hide Jews from the Germans during World War 2 and endured the worst of concentration camps. She writes with deep insights and incredible faith and wisdom. A must read.

A Million Miles In A Thousand Years by Don Miller

A nonfiction book about stories. It talks about life being a story and what kind of story you are living out. Don Miller writes in a way that is really easy to read and he pulls you in. This is the best book that I have read so far and it's one that I think everyone should read.
Depends on what type of books you like:

Fiction

Lord of the Rings trilogy, by JR Tolkien -- Fantasy/adventure novels with deep truths that can be drawn from the stories. (you might have seen movies)

The Chronicles of Narnia series, by CS Lewis -- Written as children's novels, but super fun for adults. Fantasy and adventure.(you might have seen movies from this series)

Black, Red, White (The Circle Trilogy) by Ted Dekker - (3 separate novels) About a man who goes back and forth between two different worlds.Adventure, action, danger, romance. Fun read with spiritual message.

Non-fiction

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom - True, incredible autobiographical story of woman in Nazi concentration camp. Inspiring, amazing book.

When the Game is Over, it All Goes Back in the Box, by John Ortberg. Author talks about being rich toward God instead of concentrating on the things of the world. How to live with an eternal perspective.

Bruchko - by Bruce Olson True story of missionary who goes into jungles of South America to share gospel with dangerous tribe.

The Reason for God by Tim Keller. Rational explanations for some of the biggest objections to Christianity, like: Why is there evil if God is good? How can only one religion be right? How can you take the Bible literally?

Hope this helps!Whats a good christian book?
"The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis, as it's brief and you could give C. S. a second chance. Very good character development, insight into "Jacob's Ladder of Divine Ascent."

"Chronicles of Narnia," by Clive Stapleton Lewis, a good author btw.

"When Invisible Children Sing," Chang: First-generation American goes to Harvard Medical School, then volunteers in his senior year there to help Bolivian street children; humorous and moving, and he finds Christ.

"Hope Rising," Kim Meeder; she grew up in a dysfunctional situation, then founded a ranch to heal abused horses and teens. Good writing and stories.

"Expecting Adam," Martha Beck. A radical feminist in Harvard's feminist sociology Ph.D. program, she finds Christ while being pregnant. She is an excellent writer.

"For Women Only" and "For Men Only," Shaunti Feldhahn; all about Christian love and romance.

"Eyes of the Tailless Animals," Soon Ok Lee; honest North Korean communist is put in prison for her honesty, where she meets Christians and becomes one. Moving and memorable.

"Tortured for Christ," Richard Wurmbrand. One of the most beloved books of the Christian 20th century, by "the Saint Paul of the Iron Curtain."

Traditional answers:

maybe the Hobbit.
Non traditional answers:
I have found Zenna Henderson's fiction, mostly summarized in InGathering to have a strong Christian element
Black Easter is Christian horror. God save us, there is a sequel. James Blish IIRC.
My preacher was recommending some Steven King, Needful things is a book about temptation.
Black Beauty has a huge amount of Christianity carefully backgrounded in.
The green mile by S. King is very good.
it brings to mind the Joshua movie and the novels that prompted it:

Ted white had some science fiction that took a religious bent if I recall correctly.
The little world of Don Camillo is a novel of a fictional Italian priest and a local civil authority.
A book about St. Francis will be wonderful and remarkable, pick any biography or movie. Dude had to tell people that he was not Christ come again, as he so looked it.

Since Christianity has been seen as bashing science, there is more science fiction mocking it than supporting it.Whats a good christian book?
The non-fiction book, Knowing God Intimately: Being as Close to Him as You Want to Be by Joyce Meyer is, in my opinion, a great book that talks about how to grow closer to the Lord. It seems basic but it was really refreshing for me. Meyer speaks of not just 'going through the motions' but rather enjoying a beautiful intimate relationship with God. She explains that scripture says that 'we, not God, determine our own level of intimacy with him.'

The Christian Atheist: Believing in God But Living As If He Doesn't Exist by Craig Groeschel is another non-fiction book about how well... one may call themselves a Christian and love God but... not act like it, and not let it show. This book reminds you to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and be different; be who God created you to be. Someone who follows him and is who he or she says they are.
On the Origin of Species

by Charles Darwin

It's a very informative book about the most accurate theory of how life originated from micro-organisms.
