Some versions of the Christian 'old testament' are good translations, but some are dreadful.

A number probably, though off the top of my head I don't any. Strong's Concordance perhaps would, though I'm not sure if it strays into Jewish translations as well as the various Christian ones.



Some things to research that might point you in the right direction though would be St Jerome's translation of the bible into the Latin Vulgate which was heavily criticised due to his use of Jews to translate Hebrew (scandalous at the time), and the errors in the Pentateuch. To be really clear, what you're trying to ask is are there works that compare the original Hebrew texts to the Greek translations used by early Christians and carried forward into subsequent translations of Christian scriptures. Remember, Jewish and Christian scriptures are the same only when it comes to the Old Testament works.



Because of that, unless you're looking for the texts in their original languages, it's going to be less than helpful to look for "side by side" comparisons. English translations of the Hebrew texts and the Greek translation aren't going to be perfect either.



You're better off simply reading a wide variety of theologians and scholars who have spent their lives working on this very problem.
You're not likely to find exactly what you're looking for. You can make a comparison your self by opening blueletterbible.org and the Tanakh at chabad.org.



But honestly, they both say the same thing. There are only a couple of verses here and there that differ much at all, and none of any substance. You'll find that there are translation differences in Christian bibles that lean towards the Christian viewpoint but you'll also find in several versions of the Tanakh translations favoring modern Jewish viewpoints.
