Christian fictional book series?

There were a series of fictional Christian books that came out around 1990. It chronicle a family line through out American History. The two I read were dealing with an ace pilot doing WW I %26amp; the other dealt with the revolutionary war. If I remember right there were about 12 books in the serious. Would anyone know of the serious I'm referring too?Christian fictional book series?
I know of two series that might fit this, except that both have more than 12 books.

There is The House of Winslow series by Gilbert Morris which has, to date, 40 books. This series follows the Winslows from around the 1600s (where people travel to the "new world") and through the American Revolution and the American Civil War and to the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). I haven't read some of the last titles, but the ones I have read are excellent. Gilbert Morris has also written several other series, too (which I have yet to read). However, you might want to look through the list of titles on http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/m/gilb鈥?/a>

There is another series called The Brides of Montclair series by Jane Peart, which starts in Williamsburg, Virginia just before the American Revolution and down to modern day. There are 15 books in the series. It's very good.

Do either of these sound like the one to which you are referring?Christian fictional book series?
I'm not quite sure how you found Jack Cavanaugh from my suggestions of Gilbert Morris and Jane Peart, but I'm glad I helped.
