You mean you've never heard of the bible?Christian book for a soldier?
'Crime and Punishment' by Dostoevsky.

Most don't know it, but the book is very Christian in its outlook. And it's the best.

Or 'Paradise Lost' by John Milton.

Even better.
Give him the C.S. Lewis Narnia books. The books have a religious flavor (i.e. Aslan is Jesus, etc.) but they are fun reading.Christian book for a soldier?
Back during the Second World War, CS Lewis wrote a series of "letters" for the British equivalent of "Star and Stripes" - a magazine/newspaper for solders. They are a delightful sarcastic view of the Christian faith through the eyes of a "junior tempter" (devil) name Screwtape, who writes to his superior. He talks about the Christian faith, prayer, duty, war, suffering, devotion and many other issues in a humorous way that brings out many spiritual truths.

But they were also designed to help the soldiers understand the importance of their sacrifices, and trust that they could have in the love and care of God even during difficult times like that. The book is called "The Screwtape Letters". It is something that has brought courage and hope to many over the years since it was published.
This might be just the thing
