Best Christian books you can recommend for physically ill people?

Is there any christian book you can recommend to me. I'm hoping to give it as a gift for my friend's birthday and, as an encouragement too so she won't lose hope on her treatment. She is physically Ill right now and undergoing dialysis. I particularly love Harold Sala but I have no idea which of one of his books should I choose for her. Thanks in advance. God bless everyone...=)Best Christian books you can recommend for physically ill people?
I guess that depends on whether you want to just comfort her in her illness or get her healed by the power of God.

If you are seeking the latter, I would recommend anything by Kenneth E. Hagin.
Just give her a Bible or tell her to read the NT Bible. Hebrews 4:12,13 - For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, ... and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. ~ The word for discerner also means relating to judging, fit for judging, skilled in judging. The word for intents also means mind, the act of thinking, consideration, meditation, a thought. So even our thoughts are judged by God's word. The word for heart also means the centre and seat of spiritual life, the soul or mind. This explains why heart is often used for soul or spirit. The word for eyes also means the eyes of the mind, the faculty of knowing. You see, God knows our thoughts and He judges them by His word; so we better not have a corrupt mind, but believe and obey God's word with it.Best Christian books you can recommend for physically ill people?
"Heaven Is Foreal" changed my life. She would LOVE it. It's about a little boy who almost died from appendicitis, and during his surgery, he visited Heaven. It's a true story and an amazing one at that. It sounds corny and fake, until you read it. It will give you chills down your spine. Definitely get it for her.
i recommend "crazy love" by Francis Chan

5 Scriptures that can get you through almost anything by John Bytheway is a great book for EVERYONE.
Have you ever considered Joyce Meyer's Books?? Joyce is a Spiritual and Professional God fearing woman who represents God and Word..While she doesn't have specific books perhaps on physically ill people, you might first contact her Web site to see what will apply...She has many ...
A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser and his other books...
Whatever you do, don't give them books written by Joel "pearly whites" Osteen or Benny Hinn.
James MacDonald wrote "Life is Hard" when he was undergoing treatment for cancer that fairly well knocked him on his butt.

It talks about how God uses times such as these to increase the faith of His people.

Peace, Bill
PSALM 103 IS GOOD FOR healing.
C.S. Lewis wrote a book: The Problem of Pain.

Its older, but it still gets great reviews. Perhaps that would help.
Here is some story about a sick baby...

I Tim 2:14-15

And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner*

(*men are OK! Yeah… all them nasty sinful women!)

But women*

(*any woman; they don’t need to be married)

will be saved through CHILDBEARING*

(*virgin girls, nuns and sterile women are out of luck. Any RAPIST leaving a girl pregnant is doing her a favor)

==

Bathsheba was a gorgeous sexy girl who loved to bathe in the nude; King David couldn’t resist having sex with her.

2 Sam 11:2

And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed*

(*while his mighty Army of God was fighting a war, King David was resting in his Royal Palace)

and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself*

(*he knew where to look)

and the woman was very beautiful to look upon*

(*No wonder King David preferred to stay home! Only in the smutty Bible stories a king “after God’s own heart” would send his whole army to fight a war so he can watch “very beautiful” married women bathing in the nude next door to his Royal Palace)

==

King David got this “very beautiful” lady Bathsheba pregnant. SO SHE GOT SAVED!

After Bathsheba got all soaked in David’s Royal Sperm she took a shower to "purify herself” of any foul play (2Sam11:4).

Both of them ought to have been stoned to death (Deut 22:23-24)!

King David enjoyed special privileges with God; he loved to brag about God’s Law, pointing his big finger up in the air (Psa119:4,21).

King David send some secret orders to his Field Generals to have Bathsheba’s husband Uriah, one of his most loyal soldiers, “killed in combat” (2Sam11).

Bathsheba neither grieved nor complained about King David killing her husband Uriah.

She gave birth to a beautiful boy, but God had to kill the baby.

2 Sam 12:15

And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife*

(*Bathsheba was not married to David yet)

bare unto David, and it was very sick*

(*the baby died a slow and painful death to teach King David a lesson)

==

Shortly after the baby died King David got Bathsheba pregnant again! But this time God rewarded them. She gave birth to King Solomon, one of Jesus’ ancestors (Rom1:3)!

Bathsheba was not Jewish, but Palestinian.

There is not a shred of evidence that any of these characters ever existed outside of the Bible stories.

King Solomon had over 1,000 wives and lovers to please sexually at least once every 4 years, unless they were Lesbians, or cheaters, or he enjoyed group sex inviting a lot of his friends!

1 Kin 11:3

He* (*King Solomon) had seven hundred WIVES OF ROYAL BIRTH*

(*not just any commoner girl, but 700 neighboring Kings, mostly Palestinians were breeding princesses just for him!)

and three hundred concubines*

(*300 sex partners with full benefits)

==

King David earned the hand of his first wife Michal by messing with the penis of 200 dead Palestinians.

1 Sam 18:27

David and his men…*

(*David was an illiterate shepherd bossing a gang of thugs that helped him to kill 200 Palestinians)

He brought their foreskins and presented the full number* (*200) to the king*

(*David became “a man after God’s own heart!” His future father-in-law asked him only 100 foreskins, but David “walked the extra mile” and brought him 200)

so that he might become the king's son-in-law*

(*no porno movie today would get this smutty)

then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage!*

(*Michal felt very proud of David, especially for messing with the penis of 200 dead Palestinians just to marry her)

==

In the case of the Palestinian King Abimelech, God intruded into his Royal Bedroom a few times to stop him from having sex with Sarah (Gen20:2-6), and later on with Rachel (Gen26:6-8).

In the case of King David of ISRAEL, God enjoyed watching him perform adulterous sex with Bathsheba, but he did nothing to prevent it.

God must have enjoyed watching how King David ordered the assassination of Bathsheba’s husband Uriah.

God was pleased to add Bathsheba to David’s collection of wives (Jer 8:10).

Saint Paul argues in circles about the virtue of lying and doing EVIL, like King David did all his life, to promote religion.

Rom 3:7-8

"If my FALSEHOOD enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?"

"Let us do evil that good may result"

Jer 6:13

from the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

==

Jeremiah does some honest Bible writing, King Solomon, also!

Ecc 3:19

Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is vanity*

(*and BIG BUSINESS for the Clergy!)
