This is an honest question based on observation. Many Christians are so heavily invested in the Bible, they seem to have forgotten, if they ever knew, it is only a book, not the actual subject of their devotion. So the question stands: Do these truly people worship a tome?Does an "Extreme" Bible Quoting Christian Worship Christ or a Book?
Christian Fundamentalist is a complete contradiction in terms!
CHRISTIAN 鈥?A follower or believer in Jesus.
FUNDAMENTALIST One who believes the Bible is literally true and must be followed exactly.
Therefore they are followers of the bible and not Jesus making them non Christians!
But worse is to follow it also makes them ideologists.
IDEOLOGY An idea that is false or held for the wrong reasons but is believed with such conviction as to be irrefutable.
So Christians have a loving and forgiving god and fundamentalist - well - Just are not Christians!
Fundamentalists turning Christianity from a religion to an ideology!
That is a valid question for some western Christians, but do not disregard the importance of memorizing the Bible.
When he was in solitary confinement, Richard Wurmbrand "read" the Bible from memory in order to pass the time. He had committed the Bible to memory in preparation for the very circumstance in which he found himself. This practice helped him endure the darkness and utter silence (the guards wore felt covered shoes, and only slipped Wurmbrand his food when he was sleeping). It also helped him win many an argument with his torturers.
Memorizing passages of scripture is like adding bullets to your gun. You can't go into the heat of battle with only six shots.Does an "Extreme" Bible Quoting Christian Worship Christ or a Book?
They worship Christ through His Word.
John 1:1-5 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Bible is not just another book -- It is In Fact God's Word to us. We are told to read, study it, share it with others. Unfortunately some people like to hear themselves 'talk' / they pride themselves in all the Scripture they know and can 'tout' to others. That's Not how it's meant to Be. Having read God's Word - we are to obey it and then share it. We are to be worshiping the God of the Bible. And we learn About Him In His Word.Does an "Extreme" Bible Quoting Christian Worship Christ or a Book?
You are so wrong. The Bible is NOT "only a book", or "a tome". It is the Word of God, given to the world to know God / Jesus Christ, and to stay away from Satan. Does an "extreme" Bible quoting Christian Worship Christ? What else can you expect? God Bless you.
These christians are only telling you what God is telling us in His word.
( if they are not taking it out of context many do! )
You are badly mistaken when you say the Bible is only a book,
Yes it is a book, But it is also more than a book. It is a book about the God who made heaven and earth and all that is in them, And hell also.
It is a book about Gods wishes for His people, promises for their obedience, warnings for their disobedience, even judgments to other believers and unbelievers. Gods will for everyone can be found in it. Although the Bible it is a book the Bible is not God, but His will and word to us and for us. Which means the Bible is His word to us and for us which can and will lead us to Him, No i do not think these people worship the tomb, But the savior who was in the tomb ( JESUS ) just telling us what the will of God is.
( if they are not taking it out of context) You can read in the Bible where Judas went out out and hanged himself and can also read in the Bible in another place where it tells us go and do likewise, But that does not mean God wants us to go out and do it!!!
God is a VERY VERY LOVING AND VERY VERY MERCIFUL GOD. But if you will read his word you can find where many people pushed Him to His limits!! Yes He will only allow people to push Him so far without vengeance. God wants to extend forgiveness to every one but many refuse to believe in Him, Many refuse to do His will!
I was brought up Catholic, in 10 years of Catholic school we never saw a bible. They did tell us one thing that has a deep meaning, without God's help we understand nothing, not about God or from a book. The problem with the book itself is it is words that must be interpreted. Not only are there many ways to interpret the words, but the book itself is full of contradictions. It says faith without works is dead, yet other verses negate that, you don't have to do any works, it is supposed to be a natural consequence of having faith, yet I found that atheists are the ones out there doing a lot of the works, they have no faith, they have love. Many people act like the book Is God, God being the Word, became flesh...no became a book! Oh what a mess how to make sense of nonsense. http://www.evilbible.com/Biblical%20Cont鈥?/a>
Both! Jesus is the Word.
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
I think they really worship a book. I'm a human with 60 years experience being a human.
They worship Christ if they're true Christians. But the Word is the Sword of the Spirit; used for protection against enemies.
they worship christ
the bible are the words of god it is sacred

Book ablout a man who meets a stranger who has a crop duster, christian theme maybe?
I think this book has the word feather in the title. The man meets a stranger who gives out crop dusting rides in a bi plane. It seems to me to have a christian or religious theme. Does anyone know the title of this book??Book ablout a man who meets a stranger who has a crop duster, christian theme maybe?
The book is Illusions by Richard Bach. It is not `Christian' although it certainly could be read that way. It's closer to a Buddhist understanding. Great book. There was a feather on the cover of the original printing but the title of the work is `Illusions'.

What is the best christian book to read on the end times?
I am a newish Christian but I know nothing abut the end times/rapture/Armageddon etc.
Please could you tell me a decent book to read on the subject.
I know its a massive topic and everyone will probably tell it from a different viewpoint.
I however am looking for something that's very simple (if it can be;)
Im no good with history or politics so when it comes to world affairs I would be starting from scratch:(((
I also really need to find the exact scriptures to try and piece all the evidence together for myself.
It must be in line with the bible.
Many thanks! What is the best christian book to read on the end times?
Congratulation , you got some very admirable interests . Try oldies but goodies :
Revelation of st John
2 nd Tessallonians
and especially Daniel prophecy from 8 chapter fwd. ( 11 %26amp; 12 chapter got everything u`ll need )
reading is not enough , ask for guidance , pray for wisdom , and get ready for a major mindblow .
I would read the book of Matthew where Jesus clearly states that the generation he was speaking to would not pass before all these things were done. That was almost 2,000 years ago, so I don't think you have much to worry about. What is the best christian book to read on the end times?
We also touched on this subject today at church. We read Matthew 24 ~The destruction of the temple and signs of the end times. It is the first time I have looked at this subject in the Bible.
While you're waiting, this is a good place to begin:
http://www.agapebiblestudy.com/Revelatio鈥?/a>What is the best christian book to read on the end times?
Read the bible especially Revelation and ask your minister for help.
A fascinating question. Even one that i have probed into for the past couple of weeks. Some savvy people can state you had better be careful when asking a question such as this one.
Revelations.
But all are important, so we will be close to God when the time comes.
Armageddon will be over by the time we get you up to speed.
You should seek for God to show you and not man.
Therefore you will need to restrict yourself to the Bible.
Only Christ opens the Scriptures. It is the Holy Spirit Who is the Teacher and man cannot replace Him.
But if you listen to men you will preclude, or at the very least obscure, His leading and teaching.
I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
For example one has posted about the generation Christ was speaking to but is apparently blind to the fact that generation is still with us because Christ was talking of the Jews.
You see you will be misled by men, but God is true and only He reveals what the Scriptures mean.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Scripture unlocks Scripture and until you have a good knowledge of all the Scriptures how can the Spirit bring you to understand what they show?
Until then men will seriously mislead you with their own ideas. Especially the so called 'teachers' in the churches. You will find they all contradict each other anyway and people divide to follow them so proving them all to be carnal - And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Christ calls you to follow Him and He will show you what you need and what you ask Him.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Again,
I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
Books by Barry Rumsey Smith like Warning and Better than Nostradamus are great! Also books by Tim LeHaye are highly recommended. You may wish to also tune into Rory and Wendy Apocolypse and the end times on God tv if you are in the UK they have some excellent Christian guests on their shows eg Mark Hitchcock. I have just read a book by him called 2012 The Bible and the End of the World. He is also the author of When the world goes cashless the antichrist isnt far behind and The Late Great United States.
A lot of the end time stuff does involve politics etc as the antichrist will be the world leader, when we get the one world government! Rev13v7. However, I have found Barry Smith explains things simply and in a way that even I can understand!!
I would recommend some of these books too to Tuppence. She is one of the most liked and sincere and dear JWs on this site, and in many of our prayers! Although the JWs call themselves Christians they believe a different gospel to the orthodox Christianity and also they believe in a different Jesus too. With the greatest of respect to this lovely lady Tuppence, I would not advise you to get involved with the JWs as you may find yourself very confused.

"The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church"
by Marvin J. Rosenthal
From a respected missions director, this book offers a well reasoned but controversial look at the end times. If you question the traditional views of the Tribulation, this is a good book to read. Mr. Rosenthall holds to all of the fundamentals of the Christian faith, and even if you do not agree with all of his conclusions, you will learn a lot about what the Bible says about end time events.
or the "Three Views on the Rapture: Pre; Mid; Or Post-Tribulation? (Counterpoints)"
by Gleason L. Archer (Editor), Paul D. Feinberg, Douglas J. Moo, Retter, Pual D. Feinberg (Contributor), Richard R. Reiter (Contributor)
Three Trinity Evangelical Divinity School professors present their premillennnialist views on when the rapture will occur - before, during, or after the tribulation. Paul D. Feinberg argues the pre-tribulation position. Gleason L. Archer presents the mid-tribulation position. Douglas J. Moo holds the post-tribulation view. Richard Reiter gives a historical overview.

Karen, I felt very much like you at one time! Now, however, I feel so much better because of the bible and the society I belong to.
I happen to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I can say with full confidence that we have what you are looking for.
In fact, it is such a shame you did not go to one of our meetings today for we had a special talk all about this very subject!
To be honest, Karen, to try and do this yourself, is like trying to find a needle in a haystack! You are much better having a bible study with one of my spiritual sisters, this way, you can do it gradually and gain a deeper understanding.
Without trying to put fear around, it is MOST important that you are in the know because we really are very near the time of Armageddon.
If you look in the book of Daniel, you will find that he talks about a figure made up of several different materials. Well, we are at the feet end right now! So this is why I urge you to study. If you go into our official website, at: www.watchtower.org - all you have to do is fill in an online form and a sister will come around and study with you.
I truly think, Karen, that you will find what you are searching for with our publications.
You are, of course, most welcome to contact me.
I sincerely wish you to take up this offer.

How is it that christian claim to have knowledge off the same book but come out with different conclusion?
Is it God's design to confuse them or are christians confuse because they lack the tools and intellectual honesty to interpret what they read correctly? How is it that christian claim to have knowledge off the same book but come out with different conclusion?
There should only be one interpretation but many applications. The problems come when people make their applications the interpretation.
It's not 100% the same book. The Christians have added on quite a bit to it, and this is where they disagree. Also, a lot of the prophetic material of the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible is NOT cut-and-dry, but rather, open to a lot of interpretation. How is it that christian claim to have knowledge off the same book but come out with different conclusion?
People are self-serving, and each interprets it according to his own wishes and desires. You will also notice that they cherry-pick it, ignoring anything that conflicts with their beliefs. Since there is a lot of contradiction in the Bible, this is easy to do.
Or...perhaps God allowed Satan to cowrite the Bible, and it is just a big test to see what people choose out of it! As an agnostic who sees that the least Christ-like people are usually Christians, that would honestly crack me up.
not only are there misinterpretations :: there have been edits and omissions :: organized religion is against the teaching of Christ :: and it's been the root of much of the confusions surrounding the bibleHow is it that christian claim to have knowledge off the same book but come out with different conclusion?

Reasking question, writing a Christian book, what genre is it?
I am working on a book, I don't know what to label it as though. I orignally assumed Christian Romance: Fiction.
It tells the story of mine and my wife's life together and seperatly. Of how we met, fell and love, and how we grew in Christ.
It revolves alot around our long distance relationship while I was in the Army, and how God kept us strong through it.
It also has alot of text about our seperate lives between our first meeting, and then second before I went into the army, and we got married.
It's based off of us, but also adding alot of fiction in it
I hope this helps, what do you think of a Genre for it?Reasking question, writing a Christian book, what genre is it?
Yes this would be realistic fiction: Christian Romance. Or Christian Romance: Realistic Fiction.
That would be christian fiction. It's a genre unto itself, with a number of publishers catering directly to that market. In a christian bookstore, it might be considered romance.Reasking question, writing a Christian book, what genre is it?
I would think contemporary as romance usually has a female lead.
Christian Romance or Christian Fiction. Romance novels are considered fiction.Reasking question, writing a Christian book, what genre is it?
Like the Bible, that would be fiction.

Reasking, with more information.....Christian Book Genre?
I am working on a book, I don't know what to label it as though. I orignally assumed Christian Romance: Fiction.
It tells the story of mine and my wife's life together and seperatly. Of how we met, fell and love, and how we grew in Christ.
It revolves alot around our long distance relationship while I was in the Army, and how God kept us strong through it.
It also has alot of text about our seperate lives between our first meeting, and then second before I went into the army, and we got married.
It's based off of us, but also adding alot of fiction in it, to keep the story flowing.
I hope this helps, what do you think of a Genre for it?Reasking, with more information.....Christian Book Genre?
Inspirational Fiction
Christian Fiction
Christian Romance
Is it actually a biography, or have you made it fiction based on your actual experiences?
If it's really about you two, then maybe just Inspirational; Testimony; something like that.

If you have to and friction to it don't call it the spice of life if you have to make it up!

Where Can I Find Dillem, a Christian Childrens Book?
When I was a little girl in the late 80s and early 90s my favorite book was Dillem. It was a Christian book about a little creature who looked kinda like an armadillo who had to fight this really pretty ethereal devil like creature. On his journey he finds that he can not do it alone but with the help of god he could. And he acquires the sword of the spirit and the breastplate of righteousness etc. on his way.
I would like to know the name of the author and a place where I can find a copy of the book. I've googled everything i could think of, but still can't find it.
thx%26lt;3Where Can I Find Dillem, a Christian Childrens Book?
I've searched various spellings over at LibraryThing.com, both as a title and as a tag. The spellings I tried were dillam, dillem, dillim, dillom, and dillum. Nothing turned up.
Can you remember any other details? Any other character names?

Well, I don't necessarily know of a book on sex, but you can go to your local Christian bookstore and find lots of different things. For puberty, there's 'So You Think You're A Teenager' and then dating 'Datable' (which is a great book to read, just to help clarify your own dating boundaries in a Christian atmosphere).I'm looking for a christian book on sex?

I recently read Rob Bell's "Sex God." It doesn't talk openly about sex itself, but it talks about sexuality and men and women within the context of Christianity, and tries to help explain how it's all relevant. It's really really good and I'd recommend it.
He also wrote "Velvet Elvis" and does the Nooma video series, if you've heard of either of those.

What should i call my Christian book?
Hey! I am wrinting a Christian book and i have no idea what it should be called. I thought a first- my walk with the holy spirit is oyurs too- too self centered...and i thought- christian truths... too boring! It is about how god can change your life and how he changed mine and about him and his word. any ideas? thanks, and once its out look for it! also- if oyu think jesus is bad, keep an open mind to him- he is a life changer and if you ask him in your heart (sincerly) you will spend eternity with him. so, god bless! What should i call my Christian book?
Breakfast with Jesus
Greg Laurie brings us along on a walk with Jesus and his disciples, encouraging us to see him through the eyes of his disciples in order to know him better, challenging us firsthand with the main spiritual lessons Jesus entrusted to his followers, and inspiring us with the many promises that the Savior gave to those who choose to follow him.

Does anyone have any good Christian book suggestions for dealing with teenagers and personality conflicts?

At 13, there are bound to be conflicts. Don't limit yourself to only Christian books. If you do nothing but preach to the child, he/she will absolutely not hear you. I am a Christian, but sometimes you have to step outside of that and deal with the problem for what it is...not for what it is in relation to Christianity. I have gone through the difficult teen years with my son and I know how hard it can be. Try your best to remember what it was like when you were a teenager, because as hard as this is for you...your child is going through changes he/she can't explain and can't control.Does anyone have any good Christian book suggestions for dealing with teenagers and personality conflicts?
most man made knowledge is useless when it comes to raising families. What you need is this book I found out about: Young People Ask, edited by Jehovah's witnesses, I have read it and it seems very practical in dealing with problems that affect youth. You should read it. Also try listening to you children, that is very important in helping them out, I have seen it work before.
I did a Christian teaching on the Radio. It was wonderful and I suggest this. "Growing Kids God's Way." You can see it at http://www.gfi.org/
Well, God has a personality conflict with Adam and we all know what happened and some are at odds with that.
God did send Jesus to rectify this.
Have you tried talking with her (I mean steping OUTSIDE your closed minded box)?
Have you tried spanking her?
One of those two methods tends to work.
Debra - I will be at my counseling internship tomorrow and I will ask my supervisor what he recommends in this regard -- he is an amazing Christian and will have some resources, I'm sure. I'll post them back here tomorrow evening.
Sorry I can't be more helpful immediately!
Hiya Debra,
I can't suggest a book mainly because teenagers look at us through microscopes and try to find any falsehood or insincerity. Your teenager knows you almost as well as you know them. If you change strategy they will know it! (LOL)
There is hope sis! When I was growing up my Mother knew nothing and was a complete freak and my Father knew a little but didn't want any conflict with my mother. This was my perception right up until the day my daughter was born. At that very moment, Mom and Dad became geniuses and I didn't have a clue about anything. Even long before I met Jesus I held them in the highest regard and tried to remember everything they taught me about life. So the bottom line to this answer is. Sow the seeds now, even in conflict because when they grow up they are going to need them. You are the greatest gift they have outside of Christ. They just don't know it yet.
Hope that helps.
I'm not sure why it has to be a Christian book, but The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People series has excellent advice on relationships. One of the best pieces of advice it offers is, "Seek first to understand, then to be understood." It sounds simple, until you actually try to do it, and suddenly realize the power you get from doing it. I think there is even a version for teens.
I believe the author, Stephen Covey, is Christian.

The next time one of Jehovh's Witnesses come to your home feel free to ask them for this publication.

I have a very old Christian Book from Bornholm, & wonder if anyone knows anything about it?
I have this very old Christian book from 1895...I thought it was German but my nephew, who speaks german tells me....well this is what he wrote in an email: "Well, its not German but close. Norwegian (or Dutch; kinda the same thing) The best I could come up with was this
Kristleig Bornetidende ="Christian (borne) Journal " =the born , i think makes sense when you understand the bornholm at the bottom of the page is the location it was published.
Udgivet af ="Published by"
"CHR. Moller"= Publisher
Tyvende AArgan="20th Edition"
Ronne= a municipality in Denmark
Bornholm= an island of Denmark
Bogtrykerri= Trykerri is a printer and Bog seems to be the type of printer.
"Bornholm's Tidende Bogtrykerri (M.M Schmidt)= Bornholm's official Journal Printer/publisher M.M. Schmidt."
I completely hit a dead end everytime I try to find anything..Anyone know anything??? ThanksI have a very old Christian Book from Bornholm, %26amp; wonder if anyone knows anything about it?
I don't really understand the question, can you rephrase it? You could also send me a mail through my profile page if you needed more translation.
Bogtrykerri = a place where they print books. Bog = books. Trykkeri = printing office.
So Bornholm's Tidende Bogtrykerri would be the printer office where they printed Bornholm's Tidende (which is a newspaper ("Bornholm times")).
Kristleig Bornetidende is probably spelled 'Kristelig [Christian] Bornetidende'. Also probably a newspaper, in English, Christian Borne Times.
Norwegian and Dutch is far from the same thing. German is a lot closer to Dutch than it is Norwegian. I'm a native Norwegian speaker, and I don't understand Dutch any more than I understand German (Danish is much more close to Norwegian than either of these). Anyway, this is all written in Danish.

I am 13 and looking for a good Christian book to read?
Ok, so I am 13 years old and I love reading. I have been a Christian my whole life but I want a really good book to read. I read five grades above my grade(7th) so I can read harder books. I also read fast so a long or short book would not make a difference. I would really like a book that follows a good story line that most people can relate to. I like books that you learn from, so I would like a book that teaches about faith to God. Thank you in advance. God Bless %26lt;3I am 13 and looking for a good Christian book to read?
Well Ted Dekker is pretty good, but he writes a lot of strange and sometimes psychological things. They always involve God, but on more of a supernatural level. He's one of the few authors that have been able to mix Christian fiction with supernatural things. I don't really think he's what you're looking for but maybe if you feel like experimenting he's worth checking out. Frank Peretti is a little of the same way, though he writes some really cute children christian fiction if you ever feel like not getting challenged. But like I said, I don't think this is exactly what you're looking for, just had to put it out there.
Angela Hunt writes some really beautiful things too. My favorite by her was Unspoken, and it was amazing, really sweet, and a little sad, all wrapped together. I really recommend it to all christian fiction readers.
Anyways, I think the author that sounds most like you are looking for is Francine Rivers. Everyone who considers themselves well read Christian fiction reader should read her books. Her Voice in the Wind series was probably the most moving books I have ever read in my life and I think my life may've even changed a little after I read it. I don't know if it's something most people can relate to or not since it's set in the past, but it is such a good read and the main girl character's faith is completely unbelievable. It seriously is amazing.
Hope that helped a little XD
the left behind seriesI am 13 and looking for a good Christian book to read?
Hind's Feet on High Places
Enjoy!

you read the whole bible? try to read it more and focu s on the "other book" aspect of it. You'll see what I mean as you go along. Don't feel like you can't retrieve what the lord says in his teachings. It's really all one big cycle and you need to prevent that and keep your faith closer to thte heart. Good luck and enjoy!!I am 13 and looking for a good Christian book to read?
check out the topsy turvey kingdom.. make ur own adventure kind of books.. i think u will enjoy them :-) best of luck. i read them myself
Try reading
Pilgrims Progress -by John Bunyan
In His Steps -by Charles Sheldon
And any Ted Decker books.
She's very old fashioned and mostly out of print, but if you can find books by Grace Livingston Hill, I think you would enjoy them. I know I did when I was your age. Louisa May Alcott is another good author. She wrote Little Women and several other novels that are still popular. The Narnia series is good if you enjoy fantasy. Jeannette Oke is a contemporary Christian writer. She writes Christian romance. George MacDonald was a 19th-centure Scottish writer. His books are back in print.
All these books have a strong Christian center, and they also have very good stories.
i reccomend Bless Me, Ultima. its a story about a boy who is supposed to become a priest
If you would like to read some Christian themed fiction, I strongly recommend:
'The Red Keep' by Allen French
'The Bronze Bow' by Elizabeth George Speare
'The Chronicles of Narnia' by C.S. Lewis
'The Lord of the Rings' by J.R.R. Tolkien
All of these have strong Christian themes that make them very enjoyable to read. :)

Looking for a christian book on grieving?
I just lost my mom to a short but very hard battle with cancer. I am 22 years old and I feel so lost without her and I have breakdowns constantly and withdrawn from just about everything. She was my best friend, I called her over 5 times every single day on days I wasn't around her, and when she got diagnosed all we did was fight because I wanted her to have more hope (she's a realist). I'm looking for a good CHRISTIAN book on grieving. Or anything that someone could suggest by just knowing what I have said here. I just NEED to know she is in heaven and that it truly does exist (I am a believer, but I'm in so much pain/hurt right now I can't help but really wonder). Almost like I need some sort of reassurance. If anyone knows or anything or could suggest something I'd appreciate it.Looking for a christian book on grieving?

Sorry about your loss
I read a book called "Where is God When it Hurts?" A really good inspirational book.
im truly sorry for your loss. losing a mother, at any age, is truly tragic. my beloved gran has dementia, and i too wonder 'why did god do this?' but we must prove strong in the face of tragedy to fully understand god. your mum is at peace now, her battle is over and she is in eternal rest.

The Lord would never put something on someone they cant handle. Shes happier now, shes singing with the angels, and we cant be selfish wanting her to be back with us because all you want her to be is happy right? I know this is hard, but hang in there my friend. We are sisters in Christ, and i will pray for you.

What is the best Christian book for a non-believer?
My boyfriend of over a year is not a Christian and I am. I would not dare try to convert him from another religion, as I have respect for all religions, but he has no current faith or beliefs, and isn't sure that he wants to believe in anything. I've brought him to church with me, and even tried different churches with him, and he says he just feels out of place and like they are trying to brainwash people.
I want us to try to read a book together, and reflect on it. Purpose Driven Life is what first really solidified my faith, but I'm not sure that would be the right book for someone who is skeptical.
Any good suggestions? I could really use advice at this time. I love him, and he is good for me on so many other levels, but I know that I could not marry someone who is completely a non-believer.What is the best Christian book for a non-believer?

Try the "Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" by CS Lewis
followed by "Pilgrims Regress", Lewis was an atheist for a long time and knows how atheists reason things out.
(the Screwtape Letters is wonderful too!)
Remember you don't convert anyone that is the job of the Holy Spirit.
(the Bible though wonderful can put a lot of people off especially if they are not open to the words)What is the best Christian book for a non-believer?
If he likes fiction at all give him something from the author George McDonald. He always intertwines the message of salvation and why we need it into his great stories. This author of the late 1800s was one of CS lewis' main influences. You could also try the Left Behind series or other similar type books. The bible is always good but often the unbeliever will not read it.
"I know that I could not marry someone who is completely a non-believer"
But Paul the Apostle clearly said that you can marry someone who is not a Christian and that if you try to convert them after the marriage it's a sin. What is the best Christian book for a non-believer?
I read the following book for one of my Seminary classes. It contains several real-life stories of how people from other major faiths (as well as atheism) came to know Christ.
Rainer, Thom S. The Unexpected Journey: Conversations With People Who Turned From Other Beliefs to Jesus. Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2005. ISBN 0-3102-5741-7.
Most of you underestimate the power of the Bible..... if you read the Bible to him and explain it... God himself will show him the path...... God can do it through dreams, visions, anything... just pray for him God will do the rest..
The Bodie Thoene books especially the A.D. Chronicles. You can look them up on Amazon. Gives a little synopsis for each book. I read them over and over.

Yet you want a book on Christianity?
The bible..........show him the Gospel of John
Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis.
used to be available free in on-line form, don't know if it still is, but you might want to do a search.
as for not wanting to change him, as you know, dear, when you come to Christ, you see the urgency of leading others to Him, but you could not change him in any event, only God can. the end fast approaches and i applaud you for trying to lead him to the Lord. God bless you and your boyfriend.
EDIT: thank you for that reminder, poster who suggested the Bible. God's word stands alone and is how i came to know Jesus. however, many people have chosen to deny the Bible is God's word, which renders it powerless. one must read it with faith.
there is also a book called A Case For Christ by Lee Strobel. this book was written by a former atheist, educated at ivy league schools, working as an investigative reporter in chicago. his wife came to Christ and he set out to prove his wife wrong. he researched Jesus, the Bible, Christianity full throttle for a few years trying to disprove it. he walked away a born again believer in Jesus Christ and became a preacher, author, speaker, and apologist.
When you have respect for all religions you wind up going to hell. Romans 1:32 explains that you will deserve spiritual death in hell just because you approve of sin. All other religions are sin. You would know that if you were a REAL born again Christian. The best book to read is still the Bible. You need to learn it yourself.
Jesus said, "Then He will say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the EVERLASTING FIRE prepared for the devil and his angels'... These will go away into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT, but the righteous into eternal life." - Matthew 25:41-46.
since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you... in FLAMING FIRE taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power - 2 Thes. 1:6-9.

The Christmas Train by David Baldacci. Not GREAT literature but inspiring enough.
The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans.
Not Christmasy, but a good Christian book to read any time of year, The Seat Beside Me by Nancy Moser
I know this may sound weird or cheesy, but how about a different version of the Bible? Each version has different things you can take out of it. For example, the Message version can be awesome (especially at Christmas time) because it reads like a story.

Christian evolutionists: Why do you put more faith in a man's book rather than in God's book?
I mean, it may seem like "scientific evidence", but you should never believe in man before you believe in God. What's the point of being a Christian if you aren't going to believe in Him first?Christian evolutionists: Why do you put more faith in a man's book rather than in God's book?
Why do you think your ability to interpret the Bible is flawless? You think you know which parts are poetic, which are metaphorical and which are literal, and you think you can't possibly be mistaken. Why do you have so much faith in your own opinions? Are you perfect? Don't you know how many times over the course of history ideas about what was literal and what was not literal have changed? If the Bible is perfect and no mis-interpretation is possible, why did Martin Luther believe that the Bible said stars were points of light fixed in the firmament of the heavens? Why did Cotton Mather preach that the Bible said the world did not move or turn? Did they make mistakes? If they could, surely you could too.
By walking up right, you put faith in Physics and science. You put faith that when you walk outside, you have air to breathe. God has created science to help us progress. I have no problem with accepting science and logic, while still believing fully in my God and the Bible.Christian evolutionists: Why do you put more faith in a man's book rather than in God's book?
God's book was written by man, remember that.
And Christians focus on a personal relationship with God, and whatever their opinions are of the bible, their salvation comes from faith in God, not faith in "God's book"
They are educated enough to know that what you mean by "God's book" is your own understanding of what you read in the KJV. Hopefully, fanatics like you won't infiltrate the education system anywhere.Christian evolutionists: Why do you put more faith in a man's book rather than in God's book?
why do I adhere to scientific evidence for evolution rather than take genesis account as literal? well, simply because there is no reason to deny the Scientific evidence. If you deny reasonable evidence, then it becomes inexplicable why we don't deny any and all evidence and only adhere to what ever fits our predispositions. As Christians we are supposed to seek the truth in all that we do and believe. and sense reason is the only tool for discovering truth, then therefore if there are good reasons that support evolution then it is therefore true until proven untrue.
now, given this true fact about the world we must therefore reinterpret genesis. now, genesis IS NOT the foundation of the christian faith. the foundation of our faith is expressed by the Apostle Paul in 1Corinthians 15, which is the first oral creed in Christendom. namely that Christ died and rose from the dead. "If christ is not raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is futile", The Apostle Paul. So, given this, evolution poses no problem at all to christianity. The evidence for evolution simply forces the christian to reinterpret genesis. Remember, the bible was always a theological book containing theological truths. that is why it is called the WORD OF GOD. the bible is expressing the logos, revealing Gods character and will. As one biblical scholar put it. the bible was not written to us, it was written for us. The details within genesis are simply mirroring the "science" of the time in which it was written. The main idea behind genesis is that God created all that exists. the second basic narrative behind genesis explains that mankind fell away from God's original plan.

Because people should use their minds, and not blindly follow discredited nonsense, when the evidence shows that that is what that is.
Evolution is a FACT, bucko, deal with it.
It isn't actually god telling you stuff, is it? It's men who say they know what god thinks, or a book written by men who claim to know what god thinks.
That's just trusting men too, isn't it?
Really I see any problem ...! I read Gospel in a theological way and a scientific treatise in a scientific way. Is there anyone reading a novel in a scientific way!? Or a comic strip in a theological way!?
God's book? That in itself is the view of a fundamentalist Christian. I try to stay away from narrow minded people like you.
Because God never said that Evolution was BS.
Herp-de-derpz.
All you have to do is abandon logic and rationality for superstition and fairy tales. Really great advice.
God's book was written by men - written by men who tell us today that Jesus was not the Messiah - why do you ignore what these men are saying?
I don't think the theory of evolution conflicts with the Bible.
Well now, what's the point if they are going to have a go at each other? *feels a bit...unnecessary*
fantasy just can't compete with reality ...
Bible was written by man...
He's right, be an atheist! there are no hidden fees and no restrictions!
If a person believes in evolution. they are not Christians.

Is this a sin if a Christian reads another religion Holy book. Torah for example?
And what about others religions? What does it say about reading other religions Holy books? Is this a sin if a Christian reads another religion Holy book. Torah for example?
That was a good one. Only two of the 11 showed that they know that torah is part of the bible.
Why not? It should only strengthen your faith to see how wrong they are, right? Is this a sin if a Christian reads another religion Holy book. Torah for example?
Nope. Nothing in the bible (that I am aware of) precludes you from reading up on other faiths and religions. In fact, knowing about other traditions helps you know how to evangelize the Gospel to its participants.
The first five books of the OT are the Torah. They are called the Five Books of Moses or Pentateuch.
There's nothing wrong with reading other holy or spiritual books. Is this a sin if a Christian reads another religion Holy book. Torah for example?
No. I think you should read all you can, if for no other reason than to be educated.
No, it's not. If it were, we wouldn't have a Bible at all. The Apostolic Community (the early Church Fathers) had a lot of texts to sort through while determining which books were to be canonized, many of which were Gnostic texts. The Roman Catholic Church had a list of ''forbidden books'' for a while, but I think this was probably a reaction to the Protestant Reformation, and the ban has been lifted. By the way, the Torah (Christians often call it the Pentateuch or the Law of Moses) is the first five books of the Old Testament.
Of course it is!
Not really. :]
As long as you don't accept it as your religious book of choice I'd say you'll be ok.
Of course not.
There's nothing wrong with reading any religious book, no matter which religion the book belongs to.
Answer: If I'm not mistaken, the Torah is PART of what are recognized as "Christian" Scriptures -- as well as being Jewish scriptures. It would not be considered sinful to read the scriptures of other religions so that you can know the differences between other religions and your own.
Only if you are looking for spiritual truth in those works. I have read bits and pieces of other religious works - mostly those of false cults of the Christian faith, but a little bit of others, too. But I was not looking in them for spiritual truth - though if they had the truth I was open to it. I looked at them to understand a little about what they believe and why.
Only do this if your faith in Christ and God is strong. And do so with much prayer. If you are not strong in faith, you may open yourself to deception, for some of what they say is true, and some is outright lie, and some takes a truth and twists it into a lie - which can easily lead someone astray.
It's not a sin if you read the book but if your interested in it and you actually believed it then it's a sin.
Idk if it's a sin, but remember that while reading other books like the Torah, it does have different beliefs that the Bible. You should be carefull not to get too wrapped up into other religion's books. Keep in mind what the truth is, one true God.

I'm glad you're reading a chapter at a time, not just random verses :) A lot of people forget the context. One or two chapters a day is fine, if that's what feel comfortable and absorbable to you.
Random reading is going to be hard, though. Given you chose random reading, you might want to have two books on the go at once. So, maybe start with Mark (the oldest Gospel) and Genesis, and read a chapter or so from each of those every day. When you finish Mark, move on to Luke; when you finish Genesis move on to Exodus.
After Luke, I'd read Acts (by the same author, follows on), the John (harder to understand, but important) and Matthew (a lot like Mark). Then move on to the various Epistles (Letters).
After Exodus, I'd read Psalms, then Ecclesiastes, then generally just choose a book. Job is good, the books of Samuel and Kings are good, Proverbs is very readable and I know a lot of people get more out of it than I do. Isaiah is a really important prophet to read, when you've read enough of the rest of the Bible for context, although you need a nice clear translation to get through. Other than that, the other prophets are good, although generally less important. You'll probably read Leviticus and Deuteronomy eventually, but try to make sure you've read plenty of other bits first, especially the New Testament, especially the Gospels.
Good luck! What's the good Book in the Bible (as a Christian) to read first?
Genesis and then read it through. 1 to 2 chapters a day is good, but in the old testament the chapters get long so pace yourself. You can read it through in a year if you read 10 verses in the new and old testament twice a day.
Read the amount your comfortable with - there is no rule! By comfortable I mean, what you can digest - what you can understand. If you read a verse and don't understand it (or even when you think you do), get a good commentary and see what commentators think. There are many good commentaries, John MacArthur has some really good stuff. The ESV has a good commentary Bible. Sometimes it helps to read what different commentaries say.
It helps to understand about the book - when it was written, to whom, why, year, who was king or what was going on at the time the book was written, who was the author - all books of the Bible are inspired by the Holy Spirit but penned by man. Was the author a king, a prophet or a fisherman - the Bible is awesome in that it was written by men from many different backgrounds yet they all have that scarlet thread running through them - Jesus! Yes, the Old Testament speaks about the Savior to come.
The Gospel of John is a great book to read start to finish - it is all about Jesus Christ and His ministry on earth, His Divinity and His love for us.What's the good Book in the Bible (as a Christian) to read first?
I started at John, then read the book of Revelations, and then the book of Psalms, Proverbs and Ephesians :) I gave my life to Jesus last year and haven't looked back. I don't think it matters how much you're reading a day, just as long as you're reading it and its sinking it :)
alll the books are good enough to read "first"
i like revelation matthew and john and luke
but i might suggest that Eusebious and Enoch are just as good.

Does this Count as a Christian Book?
My mom says that I need to read a religious book to "help me with my faith". I've already read The Shack, Pilgrim's Progress, and The Case for Christ, and she wants me to find another one. I don't prefer any of those books, mainly because I like fantasy (but I didn't like Pilgrim's Progress).
Recently, I've been reading The Year of Living Bibically by A.J. Jacobs, and I prefer it over all the other ones I've already read. However, my mom says that it isn't really a religious book and that it puts down religion instead. I can tell you, that isn't true. In fact, I've learned more facts about history and the meaning behind the Bible. Sure there's humor, but it doesn't slam the Christian community. For those of you who have read/heard about it, do you think it counts as a real religious book?
So, if you don't think it is a religious read, could you recommend a good one (meaning not too preachy)? My friends have already recommended The Chronicles of Narnia, but my mom doesn't count those.
Thanks.Does this Count as a Christian Book?
If you like fantasy, check out an author by the name of Ted Dekker. He has a website with a listing of his books. There is a series called the Circle Trilogy I think you would like. I personally thought it to be on the scale of Lord of the Rings. The books within the trilogy are Black, Red, and White. If you start the first one, Black, you'll have a hard time putting it down.
He is a Christian writer, but not too much mention about God. He hides the religious with metaphors and similes.
Read the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I am not joking, I have lent it to several Christians and it really made them think....And laugh too.Does this Count as a Christian Book?
"Peace with God" by Billy Graham.
Frank Peretti series are fantasy, about warrior angels, very good, you'll probably enjoy those. Does this Count as a Christian Book?
Be very careful of what you are reading because they can mislead you away from the truth in the Bible. Not all of what those books that claim to be facts are. Find your books in a Bible book store.
I second the recommendation of Frank Peretti's novels. I also really loved Deadline by Randy Alcorn.
Life of Christ. it's by Bishop Fulton J. Sheen.
REDISCOVERING CATHOLICISM it's by Matthew Kelley.

From what I have heard of the Shack it is not Biblical so I would not claim it to be Christian and would not send a friend to buy it.
Honestly, as a mother, I would choose a book such as the Bible and read it to my children and discuss it together. A really good Narrative Chronological Bible is what I would choose.
`
I think that you would do well to listen to your Mom. Not only dose she know you but loves you more than anyone ever will .
As to Book choices you did not tell us how old you are so that we know what age appropriate materials would best fit you.
With having read the things you mentioned I would suggest C.S. Lewis as an Author He has many excellent Books which fit into that Genera . Have you possibly his trilogy which aired on television this weekend? The books are much better. Start with the Hobbit and go from there. You might have some real fun
The Tim LaHaye books are excellent! He with Jerry Jenkins are Two of the Best Authors of Religious materials Around and The Left Behind Series are the Absolute tops. There are several series of titles to choose from but The Left Behind series Is top Rate. If you would know Bible Prophecy and would like to learn it in a fun way This series is For You . Start with the Prequels to the series. Frankly Harry Potter
Cannot compaire because the events and PreHistory called Prophecies ARE Going to Happe ONE DAY REAL Soon! After you read these Check out Tim Lahayes " How to discover the Bible forYourself. It is a Fun and easy to verify the facts in the Left Behind Books and to discover them for your self..
Good luck to you and Be sure of the Most important thing . Besure that you have accepted God's Gift of Salvation through Jesus The Messiah for your self. None of this will make sence untill you do.
Read the series by Tim Lahaye %26amp; Jerry Jenkins call "Left Behind". There are 13 books in all from the "Rapture" of the Christian Church through to the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wonderful series. Once you read the first book, you can't wait to get to the next one. These are fictional books but based on the known facts in the the book of Revelation. Great reading. Enjoy
I would suggest "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis

What if America Were a Christian Nation Again by Kennedy
Lewis
Which book do you recommend for Christian woman emotional battles?
A friend of mine is struggling to overcome a bad childhood, and issues she does not understand. She is naturally a passionate, emotional person- and when you add unresolved issues to the mix, she can be explosive. It is beginning to come between her marriage. She fears that her husband is miserable, but she also feels powerless to change.
I think that she is a lovely person whom doesn't need to "change" but certainly could use help sorting it all out- we all do at some point in our life.
I am hoping to find a Christian book, for women, that will help her. A devotional, something for a married woman (or not), just something that would speak to her soul and help her release whatever is going on inside of her. But, what book?
Which book do you recommend for Christian woman emotional battles?
hmm. sounds like a lot of us, me included.
yeah, that's the deal. she needs some equipment to help her sort it out. the one i ABSOLUTELY loved was Beauty for Ashes by Joyce Meyer.
you can look around on christianbook.com. that's where i found that one.
and, i might also suggest that it helps to talk to other people too. i don't think her issues are unusual at all and she definitely shouldn't feel isolated about it. there are a lot of people (like i said, me included) who have dealt with things and have a hard time sorting through it all.
doesn't sound like she needs a book. sounds like she needs counselingWhich book do you recommend for Christian woman emotional battles?

The Power of a Praying Woman, I think it's by Stormy O'Martian. She has a series of books on prayer.
PS all of us need to change. Ps 55 says if there are no changes, then we do not have a fear (respect) of the Lord.
FOR Christians the Bible establishes a theocratic chain of headship, with Christ in subjection to God, the man in subjection to Christ, and the woman in subjection to her husband. (1 Corinthians 11:3) However, this subjection does not imply dictatorship. Headship in the family is never established by violence, whether physical, psychological, or verbal. Furthermore, Christian headship is relative and does not mean that a husband can be a despot who considers himself infallible. Knowing how and when to say “I’m sorry, you were right” could help
many marriages to be mutually refreshing and long-lasting. Yet, how easily those expressions of humility can choke in the throat!—Colossians 3:12-14, 18.
In their marriage counsel, the Christian apostles Paul and Peter constantly bring us back to Christ’s example. Respect is earned by reason of a husband’s refreshing example as he imitates the model that Christ set, since “a husband is head of his wife as the Christ also is head of the congregation, he being a savior of this body.”—Ephesians 5:23.
Peter’s counsel to husbands is explicit: “You husbands, continue dwelling in like manner with [your wives] according to knowledge.” (1 Peter 3:7) A modern Spanish translation paraphrases these thoughts, saying: “Regarding husbands: show tact in your shared life, showing consideration for the wife.” These expressions imply many factors, including sensitivity in the marital relationship. A husband should not view his wife as just a vehicle for sexual satisfaction. One wife who had suffered from child abuse wrote: “I only wish you could say more about the support a husband can give to a wife who has had this experience. What most of us wives need to know is that we’re truly loved and cared for, not that we’re there just to satisfy some physical desires or as a housekeeper, with no emotional attachment.” Marriage was instituted by God so that husbands and wives could be companions and helpmates for each other. It is a matter of teamwork and mutual esteem.—Genesis 2:18; Proverbs 31:28, 29.
How a “Weaker Vessel”?
Peter also counsels husbands to assign honor to their wives “as to a weaker vessel, the feminine one.” (1 Peter 3:7) What could Peter have meant by saying that the woman is “a weaker vessel”? Certainly, on an average, the woman is physically weaker than the man. The difference of skeletal and muscular structure accounts for that. But if we speak of inner moral strength, then the woman is by no means weaker than the man. Women have for years endured situations that perhaps most men would not tolerate even briefly—including abuse by a violent or alcoholic spouse. And think what a woman endures in order to bear a child, including the hours of labor during birth! Any sensitive husband who has witnessed the miracle of birth must come away with increased respect for his wife and her inner strength.
On this matter of inner moral strength, Hannah Levy-Haas, a Jewish inmate of the Ravensbrück Nazi concentration camp wrote in her diary in 1944: “One thing here upsets me terribly, and that is to see that the men are far weaker and far less able to stand up to hardship than the women—physically and often morally as well. Unable to control themselves, they display such a lack of moral fibre that one cannot but be sorry for them.”—Mothers in the Fatherland, by Claudia Koonz.
This experience serves to illustrate that there is no solid basis for discriminating against women just because they might be physically weaker. Edwin Reischauer wrote: “In modern times, it is generally accepted that women have more will power and psychological strength than men.” (The Japanese) This strength can be tapped in the Christian congregation when mature women may be able to help other women who are suffering severe emotional stress. Certainly, in some circumstances it is easier for an abused woman to turn to a mature woman for immediate relief than to a man. If the need arises, a Christian elder may be consulted for further guidance.—1 Timothy 5:9, 10; James 5:14, 15.
The blanket dismissal of a woman’s reactions as being emotional, attributing them to “the time of the month” irritates many women. Betty, a practicing Christian, stated: “We know, as the apostle Peter wrote, that in certain respects we are the ‘weaker vessel,’ the feminine one, with a more delicate biological constitution. But that does not mean that a foreman or supervisor has to be condescending and paternalistic, attributing every female reaction to our monthly cycle. We are intelligent and want to be listened to with respect.”
Not all women are emotional, just as not all men are unemotional. Each person should be taken as an individual. Betty, previously quoted, told Awake!: “I don’t appreciate being categorized on the basis of gender. I have seen men weep and be subject to moods. And there are women who can be as hard as nails. So let men listen to us objectively without thinking of gender.”

One of the best books I read was called Eve and the choice made in Eden by Beverly Campbell. It made me realize that Eve made a choice between good and better, not good and evil. I learned the great value of womanhood and motherhood. Learned to accept my weaknesses and that through the power and atonement of Jesus Christ I can be healed now and over and over again till I reach the perfect day because of his love and power to heal us and prepare us for heaven, as soon as we are ready to be there (meaning it can start now, before we die) That we are not just going through trials and temptations and problems, they are going through us, this isn't a permanent situation. With each choice we move closer or farther from God. Some times trial and error is the only way to find out the difference. Repentance is the process when we realize we made the wrong choice. Do what is right and let the consequence follow. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Can you recommend a Christian book on dating?
I'm a single man (24 yr old). I'm looking for an encouraging, instructive book on Christian dating for men. A book on preparing men to be Godly leaders in a relationship (dating/marriage). I am starting to engage in a relationship with a girl who I potentially see to be a woman I could marry some day. I already feel that I am prepared for married life (spiritually speaking), but I know that there is always room to grow. I want to find a book that will open up new aspects of dating and preparing for marriage that I may not have looked at before. Can you recommend a Christian book on dating?

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore
C. S. Lewis who's famous for the Chronicles of Narnia wrote a few good "christian" books.
The Screwtape Letters- Through a series of letters a demon named Screwtape talks to his nephew about the proper way to damn someone. The novel mainly talks about morality and human short comings.
Mere Christianity- This is the written form of a series of Radio Broadcasts C. S. Lewis did about why he believed in God.
The Great Divorce- A book I didn't read, but it's essentially C. S. Lewis' version of the Divine Comedy.

Title of a Christian book written by a former atheist scientist who uses science to give evidence for Christ?
I once heard about this book written by a scientist who was an atheist. He set out to prove Christianity false, but the more evidence he tried to find the more he found that Christianity had to be true. As a result, he becomes a Christian and writes this book telling about his work. I seem to recall the title having the word "Sherlock" in it, but I could be wrong.
Thanks, in advance, for any help you can offer me.Title of a Christian book written by a former atheist scientist who uses science to give evidence for Christ?
I wish I could remember the name, but there is a book written by two physicists who trace the hand of God right back to the millionths of a sec after the big bang. Its very interesting how they use science to show design beginning in those first few milliseconds.
The science of the universe and the big bang was very interesting in itself.
Which one? There are lots of Scientists that are beginning to receive Jesus as their Lord because Science supports the Bible.Title of a Christian book written by a former atheist scientist who uses science to give evidence for Christ?
Could you be talking about The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel? He's not a scientist. I think he's a journalist or something close to that, but that sounds like the story.
I don't know what it's called but look in the fiction section.Title of a Christian book written by a former atheist scientist who uses science to give evidence for Christ?
It does sound very familiar, I don't remember his name, but he is either delusional or a sociopath.
He couldn't have been much of a scientist if he became a christian. The bible is clearly a pack of lies, fiction and mythology... anyone who can't see that does not have the intellect to become a credible scientist.
Belief in the Bible and the search for the truth are two incompatible belief systems. The Bible is proof enough Christianity is a lie.
I think I know exactly what book you're talking about but I forgot the name of it. Let me see if I can try to look it up
I think the book you're thinking of is The Language of God by Francis S. Collins
Try Lee Strobel, like that guy said. He's the first name that comes to mind. He does have a book on science. It's called "The Case for a Creator" and I think it rules.
I'm not sure, sorry.
Possibly "The Case for Christ" - by Lee Strobel. I don't believe he was a scientist, but he did a lot a research and study, and the more he studied the more He found the truth of Christ. He was an atheist when he started his research. Also C.S. Lewis was an atheist that found Jesus to be true.
Don't think this is exactly the one, but if you can't find it, try "More Than a Carpenter" by Josh McDowell. It should work for you!
Have a great night!
