I read a Christian Fantasy book of someone else's years ago and now can't remember the title. Here's what little details I remember in the book:
The town hired a new pastor and as he was getting to know the members an old lady seemed odd to him.
Everyone knew the old lady and she had alot of influence over the town.
The old lady use to make everyone these pies and it was revealed that the pies was distorting the people's view.
The lady ended up being a demon/devil and battling against the pastor.

It sounds vaguely like one of the books from The Magic Bicycle series, which I read as a child growing up in a Christian household. I believe it was called The Toy Campaign.
