I would definitely recommend Ted DekKer. He writes thriller stories, romance filled stories, horror stories, and action stories. Amazing author by all standards. Out of his collection of books, i would say that you read: the circle trilogy, skin, showdown, the martys song, obsessed, three, and thunder of heaven. Those are my favorites with the Marty's Song being my absolute favorite.
or you could read Frank Peretti who writes christian stories that are very dark. Read the visitation or monster or this present darkness. Those are all extremely good.
finally, i also say, read the Left Behind series. Sixteen books, but they are all good reads and will keep you busy for a long while. What is a good christian book for a male? No Joel Osteen please?
Depends on the age of the male. If you want funny, go with "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis, the same guy who wrote the "Narnia" books.
It depends. If you want something that Non- fiction, than I would go with John tesh, because his words are powerful, so is Max Lucado. If you want to read fiction than I would say C.S. lewis is good. What is a good christian book for a male? No Joel Osteen please?
Hm, good question. Last year I got my brother a beautiful collection of C.S. Lewis writings compiled into one book. He's 17, but he has the maturity of a 24 year old and he loved it. Max Lucado is also good. As for fiction. Ted Dekker definitely writes nice books. I would recommend the book Adam.
Nonfiction: Joseph Prince
He is very good! What is a good christian book for a male? No Joel Osteen please?
Ted Dekker is a GREAT author for men or women. I really like his books Skin and House and also the Black, Red and White trilogy. He's a fiction writer. Also Frank Peretti is a very good fiction author. I love the books Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness.
For non-fiction, my favorite author is Max Lucado. Try And The Angels Were Silent and Cure for the Common Life.
I work in the book business, and people are going crazy over this book "The Shack", by William P. Young.
From what I understand, it's a bit heterodox but very inspirational.
