Not out to convert, but in fiction I like the Starbridge series, a set of six books by Susan Howatch. set in a fictional Cathedral city, and the dilemmas facing the Cathedral priesthood. There are three follow-up books about the characters, A Question of Integrity (aka the Wonder Worker), The High Flyer and the Heartbreaker. The action goes on to London. What is the best Christian book you have ever read and why?
Joni - by Joni Erickson Tada
true story about a young girl who was Paralyzed from the neck down after a diving accident in 1967.
As a teenager she came in contact with "Young Life" a religious orientated youth work to high school kids. It was at a camp run by "Young Life" that she understood the Gospel and gave her life to Christ. Just before her accident she prayed, "Lord if you're really there, do something in my life to change me around, I'm begging you....! After weeks in a special frame she began rehab and physical therapy at a nursing home; Green Oaks. During this time she battled with depression and self pity. Friends read her the Bible and she found comfort in prophets like Jeremiah. Her faith was severely tested, she read philosophers like Sartre and Marx but these drove her back to the bible.
im not a christian, but this book is facinating, that after such a horrific accident Joni has been able to turn her life around and is still a devoted christian, although she is paralysed from the neck down she taught herself to sketch amazing drawings by using a pencil and using her mouth! amazing stuff, truly inspirational woman

A Walk to Remember
Why?
Because it talks about faith, love, and forgiveness. It is also a very sad book. I just finished reading it, I suggest you to read it or see the movie. I really enjoyed reading it and watching the movie though I prefer the movie.
Honestly? I love the bible. Its the ultimate Christian book :) The teachings of John are so rich. But if you want a book to read I would suggest "Jesus Freaks" its a book about people who stood up for their religion and many died for it.What is the best Christian book you have ever read and why?
