Do you think the book Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell is appropriate for a Christian school book report?

I go to a Christian school that is picky when it comes to book report books. You can't choose one that is "trash" i.e. cussing, sexual fantasies, unnecessary violence, etc. I really want to do my report on the book Nineteen Eighty-Four, but I'm not sure if the content is suitable. What do you guys think?Do you think the book Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell is appropriate for a Christian school book report?
It's an 'anti-utopian' novel about the failure of democracy and capitalism. Does your teacher or your school insist that every book has to have a Christian theme? It doesn't. There are a couple of scenes where a couple have sex. The sex isn't described in detail, but the couple isn't married. It's important to the story because sex is frowned upon in the society in the book. There may be some cussing, I don't remember, but nothing too bad. Other than that I don't see anything a school shouldn't like. It was required reading in my high school, and in fact it was one of the few books I was forced to read that I really liked!
There is no cussing on 1984. There is a bit of sex, mainly instigated by a woman as a form of rebellion. There is also (I swear, of all unlikely things) an Anti-Sex Society. While there is no religion per se in the book, one of its points being that a totalitarian regime cannot accept any religion, a sufficiently narrow minded Christian school might see the Anti-Sexers as a swipe at them. Can you privately discuss with your teacher whether the book is acceptable?

As one who taught college for 32 years, and as author of a science fiction novel, I am extremely unsympathetic to those who would censor, especially for such silly reasons.Do you think the book Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell is appropriate for a Christian school book report?
I think it's a wonderful book! And you should read it. Maybe outside of school. There's a girl, the main character, who uses sex to rebel. As well as the main male character. It's also a different religion that rarely touches on god. And it's not supportive of it. Maybe choose a different book, like the catcher in the rye.
Well one of the themes of 1984 is embracing your sexuality that was oppressed by the Party. It is about breaking free of the Party, finding your freedom and rebellion. The book is rather mature, and I'm not sure your Christian school would appreciate it if it is that picky.Do you think the book Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell is appropriate for a Christian school book report?
yes and they can go to hell if they don't approve, those religion obsessed people who find anything not related to god will disagree you.
