that believing in God is silly and the absurdity of religion. Only to have have them read the book and still remain a christian. Why do you think they didn't get the same out it as you did? What book did you suggest to them. What was their review of it?
Christians, has this happened to you. What book did an atheist suggest. After you read it why were you not convinced.Atheists, have you ever suggested that a christian read a book that you felt strongly should convince them?
No. *I've* never read a book attempting to persuade people to become atheist, so I couldn't recommend one to anyone else.
No, I haven't. I don't push my book on them and I don't like them pushing their book on me.Atheists, have you ever suggested that a christian read a book that you felt strongly should convince them?
Typically I will suggest books or websites that address specific beliefs, not the existence of god in itself. Whether they read it, and whether it leads them to reevaluate their belief in gods, is up to them.
I never read a book nor do I know if any exist. I simply sat back and thought everything out logically and came to the conclusion that there can not possibly be a god. I'll carry that conclusion to my grave. If a Christian ever sat down and really thought about the absurdities and contradictions of religion he'd be an Atheist too.Atheists, have you ever suggested that a christian read a book that you felt strongly should convince them?
No I have never felt the need to try and influence anybody in any aspect of religion. Each to their own.
No, I have never done that. If their beliefs weren't reached by evidence and reason, then no amount of evidence and reason will change their minds.
They've recommended books to me and I've read them all. They are easily refuted. Anybody who has changed their minds on the basis of men like Lee Strobel is a first-class imbecile.
no
dont know why i would do that unless they asked me for a suggestion of any book of this description
