The best book for Christians of all ages is the Bible. It is probably best, most instructive, most inspiring, etc, to start with the gospels, marking any passages that have meaning for you, or that you like the sound of, etc, either with crayon, or with a highlighter that will not bleed through the page.
The AV [King James' version] has the most beautiful English prose, and has powerful descriptive passages that lead a sincere person to increase their devotion to God, and to become more Christlike.
BTW - there is no book about the Bible that is as good as the Bible itself.
I wish you well.

Listen "becoming a better Christian" sounds fantastic if you were raised in a mild setting and never met any of these people. There are a lot of radical and just plain scary "good Christian" groups out there and opening yourself up to those groups is never a good idea. I'm fourteen, been there done that. You need to branch out a little to see if Christianity is even right for you.
in my bible study we read a book called
"lies young women" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Dannah Gresh
it's very teen friendly and talks about certain lies that teenage girls are exposed to and it shows certain bible verse that reveal the truth.
i would highly recomend you check it outWhat's a good Christian book for Teenagers?
you could read dantes inferno. by dante alegori. i dont think thats how you spell his last name but just wikipedia the book. it will teach you where the christian idea of hell really comes from. with fire and demons and stuff. he took the original hell, being away from god, and made it into a place that people would actually not want to go to. because honestly i live my life away from 'god' and its not so bad. so im glad dante could at least try to scare people into being christian
One thing you should learn on this list is not to tempt some of these folks by asking them not to give what you refer to as ignorant answers. They just can't resist.
Seriously though, sit down with the Bible and ask God to open your heart and mind to the truth as it is written in the Holy Scriptures. I believe I read somewhere that the Bible is written on about a sixth or seventh grade level so anyone with the help of God's Holy Spirit can easily learn about this way of life. Jesus lived His human life as an example of the way we should strive to live ours. May God bless your endeavors to learn and live the Truth.
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
