There are not any commercial grants available. I am surprised how many Americans think their tax dollars are being handed out to companies. Grants are for non-profits.
You can obtain a business loan from the tax payers though, look into that at http://www.sba.govHow can I get a grant from the government to publish a Christian book?
In America, there is supposed to be separation between Church and State, though George W. Bush struck down a lot of that when he told us that God told him to invade Iraq. You apply for any grant by asking your US House rep to help you. That's one of their primary duties to their constituency. How can I get a grant from the government to publish a Christian book?
Probably no way at all. The government, per the Bill of Rights, is not allowed to be in the religion business. Maybe if it is a historical tome about "Christianity", but if it is a tract touting or promoting "Christianity", no way. Consider if someobdy wanted the government to undwrite their Muslim or Hindu book, or Wiccan or Buddhist or Jewish - I bet you would not want to see that.
The Founding Fathers were very clear on this point, wanting to be sure there would be no forced religion or government control of religion, or use of government to promote religion.
Forget about it, find some money from some Christians - what we call the "private sector".How can I get a grant from the government to publish a Christian book?
I'm not sure why you would need a government grant to publish a book. There are plenty of Christian book publishers out there. I think the first thing to try would be researching Christian publishing houses that accept unsolicited manuscripts. Learn how to properly format and submit your manuscript and then start sending it out. I think that would be a better route than government grants.
In general it's always best to leave the government out of it if you can. :)
