No doubt about it...The Case For Christ is one of the greatest books ever written. I have always been a Christian and this book solidified any potential doubts or questions that I may have had. It is truly fascinating because it was written by an Atheist who was on a quest to DISPROVE Christianity. Throughout his years of research and readings, he ended up PROVING Christianity and therefore solidifying his own faith in Christ. It is truly an amazing book that I recommend to both Christians and non-Christians. Although most non-Christians are afraid of reading it. i don't say this as a threat, just my own experience.
the Book of Mormon has had big impact.
the book of enoch was a symbolic book but i never finished it, for the realization that christianity is wrong about gospel truth being limited to the bible.
History of the church by Eusebius
this book showed me that the ACTS of the apostles did not stop because the bible chose only 60 books and 40 authors. (something like that)
there are many others now, I cant finish because im being distracted. What Christian book besides the Bible has impacted you most?
The "Secret Teachings of John," "The Book of Jude," "The Gospel of Enoch" "The Book of Mary" "The Childhood Stories of Jesus" "Catholic Encyclopedia." "The Book of Mormon" "Scientology by L.Ron Hubbard" "The Greatest Story Ever Told" "A letter to a Christian Nation." "God is not Great" "The Atheist Bible" ""The God Delusion" "Chariots of the Gods" "Ancient Astronauts" "Banned from the Bible" "Dangerous Devotion" "The Portable Atheist"
"The God Delusion" "Nietzsche vs Christianity" "The Jesus Papers" "Frauds Forgeries and Hoaxes in the Bible" and some others that I have deleted from my hard disc. This is about 2/3s of my reading list from last year. Not counting the various books of the bible that were studied and cited. You can not believe what is written in books without researching the source. This does also not include all the lectures and videos that I have watched. I highly recommend "Zeitgeist" for an insightful and eliminating video. Get it on YouTube. I also recommend watching videos by the "Atheist Experience," a great show that allows people to call in and have the Atheist position explained to them while they attempt to prove the existence of God.
"Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis is a favorite because it doesn't refer to Jesus Christ once before it has made a good logical and philosophical case for man's need for a savior, and then it explains why Jesus is that savior. The best chapter of the book is called "The Greatest Sin" and is all about pride, a chapter that I needed to read and have gone back to look at numerous times. What Christian book besides the Bible has impacted you most?
.
That would have to be:
"Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan"
'The Conflict of the Ages in the Christian Dispensation'
By Ellen G White
I believe this book to be the TRUE history of the Christian Church . . .
.
The bible is not Christian -- the fictional "new testament" is a pseudo bible. Atlas Shrugged impacted me most. It taught me how to think.
Captivating, by John and Stasi Eldredge. Every Christian teenage girl should read that book!
"Mere Christianity", "The Practice of the Presence of God", and several others.
'Mystery of the Ages', By Herbert Armstrong
I also liked 'Case For Christ'
mere christianity by C.S lewis
