A few years ago I read a brilliant book about the garden of Eden and the fall of man. It was written just like a novel and it was soooo fascinating. I think it was called "in the beginning" or "the beginning" or something like that, but I have been completely unable to find it since. I originally read it at my parents' house and they no longer have the book and do not remember the name or author either. Anybody know?Does anyone know the title of this Christian book or the author?

The only one I recall is the very humorous "Adam %26amp; Eve" by Mark Twain.  Really excellent (His garden of Eden is Niagara Falls....after it had become a tourist trap, but before the damming of the river)
Anyway, I'm guessing that's not what you meant, but it's definitely worth the read - should be free online, and it's a "short story" - meaning that it's shorter than most modern novels.
