Readers and Writers: What Christian book themes would you like to see on the market?

I'm thinking about writing a Christian fiction novel. I would like ideas on themes that you would consider reading. I've got a few already, but I want to see if there is something that I'm missing. Thanks ahead for your input!Readers and Writers: What Christian book themes would you like to see on the market?
I'd like to see a Christian novel that focuses on the SIMILARITIES amongst Christianity and other religions, instead of the differences. (Can't we all just get along?)

I'd like to see Christians, for once, not judge other people. "He who has committed no sin may cast the first stone".

I'd like to see Christians who aren't hypocrites. I'd like to see Christians who admit to their flawed nature. I'd like to see Christians who don't commit all kinds of "sins" all week long and then have the audacity to go to church on Sunday.

I'd like to see Christians coming to the realization that most of the actions of mainstream Christianity are most definitely not what Jesus would do...

I'd like to see Christians actually loving their fellow man, instead of hating him for worshipping a different God or for being a different race or being a different religion or denomination or different sexuality or for having an abortion.

I guess I'd just like to see Christians who are actually like Christ, in some way.
Have you read any Ted Dekker books? If you haven't, I suggest you read BLACK. It is the first book in a really intriguing series.

Good luck with the writing.Readers and Writers: What Christian book themes would you like to see on the market?
I think I would like to see a Christian writer tackle closed-minds on both sides/pride. I also think that the writer should show that arguments cannot change hearts and point them to God, that's the Holy Spirit's job.
I'd like to see a book where the christians decide they don't need to covert people and then leave everyone else alone.Readers and Writers: What Christian book themes would you like to see on the market?
I think that as a writer you should write solely on what interests you and what you're knowledgeable in. Expecting others to tell you what to write doesn't make you a writer, sorry to say. Formulate your ideas and get right down to it. That's the only way you're going to do it.

Without knowledge, passion, and interest you're going to flop real quick.
I really enjoy historical fiction. It would be very cool to do some classic plots with a creative twist maybe placed in the Crusades or old Jerusalem. One book that I came to love as a child is The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare. A Newberry winner; it's for a younger demographic, however her timeless, Impressionistic writing style is very similar to Hemingway's. It's placed in Roman-occupied Jerusalem around the time of Jesus and follows the story of a zealous young man named Daniel obsessing over the demise of the Roman occupation. His cold heart opens to the message of Jesus and his hate and anger transform into hope and forgiveness. It has been years since I read the book last but I would love to find something similar for a more mature audience. Hemingway usually does the job for me.
How about one where a pair of sisters get their Dad drunk and have sex with him because they think God destroyed the world?
